The RFID Smart Tool Trolley is a sophisticated digital tool management system that utilizes RFID technology to automate the management of RFID-tagged tools stored in its drawers.
This system significantly improves the accuracy and efficiency of tool management, and facilitates the digitalization and precise control of foreign object debris (FOD) in the aviation industry.
Its key features include tool trolley initialization, tool lending and returning records, and daily and monthly inspections.
In this video, we provide an overview of the KeepTRAK Smart Tool Trolley:
- Accessing the System: Users can access the trolley using card access or facial recognition. This secure method ensures that only authorized users can borrow tools.
- Selecting Tools to Borrow: Once logged in, users can select the tools they wish to borrow either by choosing directly from the drawer or by using the search feature.
- Retrieving Tools: After selecting the tools, users press the designated button, which opens the drawers. They can take one or multiple tools as needed.
- Confirming Tool Selection: Upon closing the drawers, the system automatically scans them. Users then confirm the borrowed tools within a set time limit, such as 10 seconds, to finalize the selection.
- Returning Tools: When returning tools, users simply scan the tool’s RFID tag, which opens the appropriate drawer for the specific tool. The tool is then placed back in its designated location.
- Final System Scan: Once the tools are returned and the drawer is closed, the system performs a scan to verify the return.
- Additional Features: The trolley system also supports additional functions, such as tracking tool expiration dates and maintaining a comprehensive borrowing record for accountability.
